  TRIMSARAN   32    LLANDYBIE    10

Llandybie tavelled to Cae Ffair  to play this league fixture. The game turned out to be a hard fought encounter with Llandybie suffering with a number of players with head injuries. Llandybie took an early lead with a penalty for not releasing in the tackle  converted by Ben Featherstone.  After twenty minutes Trimsaran levelled with a penalty for offside by Corey Phillips.Llandybie missed another penalty and from the dropout hooker Rhys Cann made twenty yards with a good carry. Trimsaran moved the ball wide but were stopped with a good tackle by winger Tom Howells.  From an infringement the visitors kicked for touch with Cann finding second row James Tommason with Ellis Barr making a good carry. From the ruck Cann carried to within three meters, from the ruck Trim left the door open and Ioan Rees picked up and dived through for a try converted by Featherstone.  Llandybie captain Rhys Evans was leading by example in the tackle area and  from a home attack Evans gathered and kicked ahead with Featherstone hacking on to dive on the ball for a try but the referee felt the ball had gone dead and disallowed the score. Trimsaran fought back  with their forwards with Connor Thomas making a good tackle but the clear out caught him with the shoulder and he was knocked out. A stretcher was called, thanks to Llandybie physio Alisa and a Trim player paramedic for their swift action over the injury. After 15 minutes the game resumed ,Chris Powell replaced Thomas and Trimsaran scored a good try by centre Thomas Bonnell to level at 10 all half time.

Llandybie became a little lethargic after the nasty injury to Thomas  and some good quality play from Trim for fifteen minutes put Llandybie under pressure with Trim taking the lead with a penalty by Corey Phillips. Jordan Tommason and Steff Thomas in front row for Llandybie were again solid and Tim Williams made a nuisance of himself in the mauls . Dai Lloyd and Ethan Walters came on for the visitors with Walters making a strong carry from the off. Llandybie drove down to the Trimsaran five yard line after a good kick from Alex Wigley and try as they might could not drive over with good defence from Trimsaran. With seven minutes left the home side broke away to score a good try from Bonnell. Llandybie lost James Tommason with another head injury after losing Cann and Thomas and Trimsaran scored two late tries from Nathan and Ioan Jones to seal the game. The scoreline , as Trimsaran admitted flattered them, as the game was in the balance until the last five minutes.
